Payment terms

If you are paying by invoice, payment is due within 28 days of receipt of invoice or by the start of course, whichever is sooner.  Only once payment is received is your place confirmed. Please quote the applicant’s full name on all correspondence to avoid any confusion.

Cancellation and refund policy

  • If you cancel this contract having paid in full or part, I will reimburse to you all payments received from you providing that cancellation is received within 14 days of the start of the contract i.e. the course. 
  • If after this cancellation period has expired, you find that you are not able to attend for any reason, I regret that I am not able to refund any of your fees paid as costs to me will already have been incurred. However, I will credit you with that sum which you may use as part (or full if applicable) payment for course within 12 months of the original event.
  • Substitutions can be made without charge up to three days prior to the start date of any course however you must contact me via the Contact form and inform me of this change and provide me with the name and contact details of the substituted person if you wish to ensure that all certificates etc are personalised.  For accredited courses,once they have started, because of the nature of the course I can only accept substitutions if I am contacted and informed before the second session begins. After this point substitutions cannot unfortunately be made.
  • Sarah Houghton-Birrell reserves the right to cancel or rearrange training due to events outside her control e.g. extreme weather, illness of facilitator. Every effort will be made to give delegates as much notice as possible, although this may not always be possible in some circumstances. It is advisable to check for any emails / text or phone messages on the day of the course and not to make any travel arrangements until shortly before the event takes place. If applicable, courses will be rearranged at the earliest possible convenience.
